    The Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA) is a non-profit international organisation working with the extended cashmere supply chain, from herders to retailers.  Their goal is to promote a global sustainability standard for cashmere production in order to preserve and restore grasslands, ensure animal welfare and secure livelihoods.

    Their aim is to ensure that internationally traded cashmere is produced using sustainable practices, resulting in a reduced environmental footprint and to secure appropriate economic returns for participants throughout the supply chain.

    The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) was developed through collaboration by leading standard setters with the aim of defining requirements that are recognised world-wide and that ensure the organic status of textiles from harvesting of the raw materials through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing all the way to labelling in order to provide credible assurance to the consumer.

  • Organic EU

    Issuing authority : Control Union

    The European organic food logo enables producers to assure customers about the origin and the quality of food and beverages purchased by them.

    The “Euro-Leaf” – a special EU logo – must appear on all packaged organic food products produced in one of the EU Member States. The Community logo may be used on the packaging of organic products where at least 95% of the ingredients are organic.

    The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is a leading supply chain management system that supports companies to drive social compliance and improvements within the factories and farms in their global supply chains. BSCI implements the principle international labour standards protecting workers’ rights such as International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions and declarations, the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and guidelines for multinational enterprises of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
